Yawn. Omg I can’t believe I haven’t posted this yet. On Monday we’re playing a show with Inward Eye in China Town. Just let me check my email so I can tell you more…Okay so we’re playing at 10:15…It’s supposed to feel like a party…At one point Inward Eye’s going to make a music video…I think it’s all-ages. And I think it’s happening on Pacific Avenue. I’m sure there’s like a facebook page or something.

If you’re the one person who reads this before Monday, please tell ninety of your friends. Ninety’s a good number.

Alright kids, check this one out: We leave for Hong Kong on June 1st to play some sort of new-fangled Asian music industy showcase. I’m sure the details are buried in my Hotmail inbox somewhere but hey, it’s tough checking your email when you went and left your damn laptop charger in Courtenay, B.C. four months ago while on tour with the Arkells.

I get the sense we’re all pretty excited nonetheless. I can’t even imagine what it’s like over there. Well, I can imagine. A lot of Asians I guess. And I just know there’s gonna be something funky about the bathrooms and we’re all going to be like, “wow, THAT’S how they go to the bathroom here!?”

So wish us luck. I believe we’re only playing three songs. And one of them is probably going to end up being an Alanis Morissette cover.

Hey, tour’s done! It was great but I’m pretty exhausted and not entirely looking forward to getting back in the van in 41 minutes to drive to Montreal. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to see us this last month; we’re so grateful for all the support and kind words we receive across this awesome country of ours. …But if I HAD to pick five favourite dates they would have to have been Winnipeg, Edmonton, Toronto, London and (surprisingly) Ottawa. Right on, big guys. I don’t have time to post links right now, but if you search Google News and YouTube you’ll find a good number of interviews and videos of us from tour. We show up in many an Arkell vlog as well. After Canadian Music Week, Rusty’s touring with The Weakerthans for a while. So, in fact, Waking Eyes are not playing with them in Kelowna but Rusty is so if he’s your favourite member, he’s all yours. So yeah, don’t get me wrong, I’m totally looking forward to playing in Montreal - it’s been way too long since we’ve been there - just not the thirty hour drive. But whatever. My brother’s lending me a bunch of Game Boy titles. I believe I saw Pokemon Yellow in there. What would be SO wrong with me really getting into Pokemon on this trip?
