It’s tour time! It’s tour time! Everybody grab an instrument and hop in the van! Steve, we said ‘an instrument,’ not every physical item you’ve ever owned!
The new breakfast B.E.L.T. (still not sure what that ‘E’ stands for) at Tim’s is pretty decent but costs a pretty penny!
So we’re doing this whole drive to Toronto thing a little smarter this time. We’re going to see if we can get the van up to around 150 kph or so, drive directly onto Lake Superior and hydro plane the whole the way. Can’t you get cars that do that? I think I saw it on Bill Nye once.
No, really our big plan is just to stop in Marathon for the night and keep going the next day. Way better than the twenty-six-straight-hour Marathon we usually subject ourselves to. Marathon.
Van seems to be running well. That’s always good.

Can’t make it Thursday night? Maybe Friday will work out better because WE’RE DOING IT ALL AGAIN ON FRIDAY! See you there!

Next, on SATURDAY the 2nd, after many years of saying we might play the Gimli Icelandic Festival and not, we’re playing THE GIMLI ICELANDIC FESTIVAL. Us and Novillero. (And then The Sadies the next night.
Sweet!)

Okay and let’s not forget about X-FEST 2 in BRANDON (Brandon loves it when you type its name in all caps) on FRIDAY, AUGUST 8TH. That’s uh, that’s going to be a big one. Finger Eleven and (ahem) Hedley and what not. Umm, I’m not seeing our name anywhere on the X-Fest 2 website but trust me, I’ve seen the contract so uh…we does it. I guess people will just be pleasantly surprised when we take the stage at 2:30pm.
